Rachael Malmberg Photography is owned and operated by Rachael Malmberg Harper- a Charlotte, NC photographer, stylist, musician and yoga instructor determined to offer affordable, photo-journalistic style photography to local individuals, couples, and families. Rachael's outgoing, fun, and quirky personality is matched by her love of all things creative. Her very first photography memory is learning how to use her dads old manual film camera, a black and silver Minolta with a cracked leather strap. Years later, she began her photography career as a photo assistant, working with commercial photographers on Belk circulars. Rachael quickly became interested in commercial product styling and photography, which is what she now considers her "day job". You can see plenty of her work in Belk circulars, where her particular expertise lies in styling bedding in room environments, in addition to clothing and dishware. Her success as a stylist is closely intertwined with her interest and understanding of photography. Over the past few years, Rachael has become increasingly interested in working with human subjects and has begun focusing on wedding photography and portraiture.Rachael is joined by her sister, Laura Huneycutt, who provides support as a second shooter, assistant, and photo album designer. Laura worked as a photo assistant and stylist assistant on Belk circulars, and now works as a sample coordinator in the advertising department at Belk, where she sees the latest trends in clothing and accessories.
